No. MelaEducate Academy is not a school or online curriculum provider. We are a learning support and guidance service that helps families understand data, build learning plans, and support student growth.
About MelaEducate Academy
MelaEducate Academy uses diagnostic data and online student practice tools to understand where students are academically and to guide personalized learning plans.
For many families, this includes IXL, which we commonly use for diagnostic insights and skill-based practice due to its comprehensive data and flexibility. Some families already have access through a school-assigned account, while others purchase access independently.
If your child uses another diagnostic or practice platform, we are happy to review it with you and explore whether it can support our planning process.
Yes. Access to a diagnostic and practice platform is required for our support services, as this data allows us to personalize learning plans, monitor progress, and guide next steps effectively.
Families may:
Use a school-provided account, or
Purchase an individual account independently
Platform access is not included in MelaEducate Academy pricing.
IXL is our primary recommended platform because it provides actionable diagnostic data and skill-level practice that aligns well with our planning and monitoring process. However, it is not the only option.
If your child is already using another platform, we will review it with you to determine whether it can meet your child’s learning and data needs within our support model.
Family pricing for IXL varies based on the business plan selected and is managed directly through IXL Learning. As of the most recent publicly available information, family plans generally fall within the following ranges:
Single subject (Math or ELA): approximately $8–$10/month or $70–$80/year
Math & ELA combo: approximately $14–$16/month or $120–$130/year
All subjects: approximately $18–$20/month or $150–$160/year
Additional children or language options may increase cost
Families who receive IXL through a school or district typically do not pay additional fees. IXL pricing is set by IXL Learning and may change. Families should confirm current pricing directly on the IXL website.
No. You may enroll first.
We will guide you through:
Determining whether you already have access
Selecting an appropriate plan if needed
Setting up your account
Understanding how the platform supports your child’s learning plan
Our goal is to ensure families feel informed and supported—not overwhelmed.
MelaEducate Academy is an independent educational service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by IXL Learning or any other educational platform. Platform access, subscriptions, or licensing fees are purchased separately by families.
